Children can develop their imaginations and social skills, whilst picturing that they are climbing up the rigging, or scaling up to a high mountain peak. They could be climbing up onto a throne of shimmering gold or keeping a lookout for invading troops! They will develop their communication skills whilst engaging in active, physical play, through discussion, listening, decision-making and turn taking. It also provides opportunities for individual challenge or team work and collaborative play.
