With a specially designed belly seat with wings either side provides a lying position so children can access the sand on their front. A support peg keeps them securely in place when playing in the sand. This extra support means inclusion for children who are excluded from traditional sandpits. There are two open spaces for wheelchair users or standing access. Two side steps and space for a child to stand within the middle, creates even more positions to play. Sand or water can be added to the circular basin, which has a shallow depth for ease of maintenance. The different textures and temperatures of natural materials offer lots of sensory stimulation.
