Tor Bridge High School had a lot of space to make use of once the school was built. As well as a play area dedicated to Performing, Active Play and Adventure Play, the school wanted a MUGA so that children could play sports away from the main playground.
What the MUGA provides for the school grounds is a safe space for children to play all kinds of sports in. The 3G surfacing was marked with lines for multiple games.
The addition of a sports area opened up opportunities for the school to focus on outdoor learning through play in the rest of the playground. This allows sport to be a way of focusing on children’s fitness and their skills within different sports.
