The Roofed Covered Sandpit gives children the opportunity to play with sand and investigate it’s properties through digging, moulding and sculpting.
It creates a covered, social area for groups of children to play together while developing their creativity and imaginations. Sand play stimulates the senses and promotes physical, cognitive and social development.
The roof shelters children and the sandpit from the elements, and the sliding lids are easily closed together to create a seating or stage area, as well as keeping the sandpit clean and dry whilst not in use, preventing access by animals for safe sand play; the sides can be fitted with locks providing extra security.
The timber is pressure treated for long life and a geotextile base allows the sandpit to sit on either grass or hard surfaces.
